Master's Admission Criteria

Please review the academic entry requirements, eligibility guidelines, and required documents for postgraduate programs at USTC before continuing.

Master of Pharmacy (M.Pharm)

Pharmaceutical Technology & Clinical Pharmacy
  • Graduation / B.Sc. Requirement: Must have Bachelor of Pharmacy (B.Pharm) from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.25 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 3.50 in SSC and 3.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 8.00 (or 2nd Division with 1000 marks each).
  • Dakhil & Alim Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in Dakhil and 2.50 in Alim (GPA 2.00 for offspring of freedom fighters), with a combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters).
  • O & A Level Requirement: Minimum 7 subjects across O-Level and A-Level with Grade 'B' in at least 4 subjects and Grade 'C' in at least 3 subjects.

MBA (for BBA Holders)

MBA (BBA)
  • Graduation Requirement: Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) or relevant business degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.00 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and 2.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters / 2nd Division with 1000 marks each).
  • Dakhil, Alim & O/A Level: Dakhil & Alim minimum GPA 2.50 (combined 6.00); O & A Level: 7 subjects (Grade B in 4, Grade C in 3).

MBA (for Non-BBA Graduates)

MBA (Non-BBA)
  • Graduation Requirement: Bachelor's degree in any discipline from a recognized university with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and 2.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters / 2nd Division with 1000 marks each).
  • Dakhil, Alim & O/A Level: Dakhil & Alim minimum GPA 2.50 (combined 6.00); O & A Level: 7 subjects (Grade B in 4, Grade C in 3).

MBA for Executive (EMBA)

EMBA
  • Graduation Requirement: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • Work Experience: Relevant professional or corporate working experience required.
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and 2.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters).
  • Dakhil, Alim & O/A Level: Dakhil & Alim minimum GPA 2.50 (combined 6.00); O & A Level: 7 subjects (Grade B in 4, Grade C in 3).

MBA for Engineers

MBA (Engineer)
  • Graduation Requirement: B.Sc. in Engineering / relevant technical degree with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and 2.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters).
  • Dakhil, Alim & O/A Level: Dakhil & Alim minimum GPA 2.50 (combined 6.00); O & A Level: 7 subjects (Grade B in 4, Grade C in 3).

Master of Bank Management (MBM)

MBM
  • Graduation Requirement: Bachelor's degree in any discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and 2.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters).
  • Dakhil, Alim & O/A Level: Dakhil & Alim minimum GPA 2.50 (combined 6.00); O & A Level: 7 subjects (Grade B in 4, Grade C in 3).

M.A. in English Language & Literature (MA in ELL)

MA in ELL
  • Graduation Requirement: Bachelor of Arts with Honours in English (or equivalent degree in English) with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and 2.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters).
  • Dakhil, Alim & O/A Level: Dakhil & Alim minimum GPA 2.50 (combined 6.00); O & A Level: 7 subjects (Grade B in 4, Grade C in 3).

M.Sc. in Biochemistry & Molecular Biology (MSc in BMB)

M.Sc. BMB
  • Graduation Requirement: B.Sc. in Biochemistry, Molecular Biology, Biotechnology, Microbiology, or relevant biological sciences with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and 2.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters).
  • Dakhil, Alim & O/A Level: Dakhil & Alim minimum GPA 2.50 (combined 6.00); O & A Level: 7 subjects (Grade B in 4, Grade C in 3).

Master of Public Health (MPH)

MPH
  • Graduation Requirement: MBBS, BDS, B.Sc. in Nursing, or Bachelor's degree in health / biological sciences / relevant discipline with a minimum CGPA of 2.50 out of 4.00 (or 2nd Division with 2000 marks).
  • SSC & HSC Requirement: Minimum GPA 2.50 in SSC and 2.50 in HSC separately, with a total combined GPA of at least 6.00 (GPA 5.00 for offspring of freedom fighters).
  • Dakhil, Alim & O/A Level: Dakhil & Alim minimum GPA 2.50 (combined 6.00); O & A Level: 7 subjects (Grade B in 4, Grade C in 3).

Required Documents

For Online Application

  • Copies of SSC, HSC & Bachelor's Transcripts, Certificates, and Testimonials.
  • 2 recent passport-size color photographs.
  • Copies of Student's NID or Birth Certificate.
  • Working Experience Details (Mandatory when selecting working experience).

For Final Admission

  • Bank Pay-Order in favor of USTC (from any scheduled bank).
  • Original SSC, HSC & Graduation Transcripts, Certificates, and Testimonials.
  • 5 passport-size and 2 stamp-size color photographs.
  • Copy of Student's and Guardian's NID.
  • Equivalence Certificate (if graduated from a foreign university).

Important Guidelines

  • Admission notices and test schedules are available on the official USTC website: ustc.ac.bd.
  • Students having foreign degrees must submit an equivalence certificate issued by the proper authority (UGC / Ministry of Education).
  • Candidates having a Bachelor's degree from universities bearing University Grants Commission (UGC) obligations are not eligible to apply.
  • Admission assessment includes written evaluation and viva voce where applicable.
  • Admission fees must be paid through a Bank Pay-Order made in favor of USTC.

Important Notes

  • You will be allowed to attend the admission assessment based on the information provided in your application. If any discrepancy or deviation is found during document verification, admission may be canceled even after selection.
  • Please have scanned copies of your recent passport-size photograph, signature, and academic certificates ready before proceeding with the online application.
  • Please complete the application fee payment within the stipulated deadline to confirm your application and generate your admit card.
  • USTC authority reserves the right to amend admission criteria, seat capacity, or schedules at any time.
